“You are twisted
and your tongue permanently tastes of cherries” –
you say,
but I just tie cherry knots
with my fruit-infused tongue,
and laugh at your complaints
of my unapproved manner.
You collect seashells and listen to them,
when you get home,
and it upsets you,
when I say,
that you’re listening
to the sound of your own blood.
Circulating.
You bite your lip
and draw some of that red juice,
as if proving the point
that I’m wrong.
Well, I’m not.
So I just carry on
twisting my tongue
around those cherry stems.

Twisting tongue indeed! Intriguing imagery…..
I try…
You succeed…
God, you’re good with your tongue.. 😛
I feel like I am all tied up in knots right now! (Is reading your poetry right before going to bed a good idea?)
Ha. Of course. My poetry MUST be read before bed 😉
Brilliant, Chatty!
awww thanks!
You said maybe just a couple days ago that you hardly get inspired lately. But your poems always feel like they were written so effortlessly. By the way, my internet is very slow at the moment it doesn’t load the ‘like’ button, but of course I like your poem hehe 😀
Suddenly I am craving cherries, beautiful writing! 🙂
Beautifully written. And I now have an urge to go buy some cherries. 🙂
I understand this was sexually enticed & provoked but, it had a rare effect on me, a meaning slightly in the oneness of two; your understanding of him & vise versa, that takes observing & intentional affection ~ You’re wonderful sweet gal!
It was a little innuendo-like, but as you pointed out, it was a lot about the relationship between him and her.
I love observing people.
This is gorgeous. My favorite part is listening to your own blood swishing…
Thanks dear. 🙂
When someone has to try and prove you wrong it usually means you were right, but I have a feeling that even when you are wrong you’re right……but I could be wrong 😉
You are so right, i might need to prove you wrong! 😛
There’s just one problem though, I’m never wrong either hahaha 😉
Thank you Chatty. I feel your connection

You are welcome. I like speaking up my mind.
Have I ever told you I love your prose, Ms Owl? lol Ok, ok, maybe I have…but I’ll say it again: I love your prose! Expertly crafted, & the thing is, I’m sure it’s done so effortlessly 🙂
Hahaha! No, you never!!!! 🙂 thanks mister, i always smile, thinking that you enjoy my writings. Also, totally forgot to mention!!!!! “Plastic” – oh wow that’s such a twisted story! I enjoyed it so much! Finishing the book and then expect a harsh review 😛
Listening to you own blood in a sea-shell what a curdling thought that is – brilliantly penned as usual lovely. xx
Dont you think thats exactly what it is? 🙂
yes our heart beat or our blood syphoning through our veins 🙂
lovely writing, but it makes me wish to see what kind of knot you can twist the stem into
Be careful what you wish for 😉
I never ask for something I don’t wish or I’m unprepared for 😉
Noted 😉
That second part reminded me of me 🙂 Fantastic writing, as always! 😀
I can totally see why it would remind you of you 🙂
this was fun to read 🙂
Then im happy!
Shells? Heartbeat? Wait!…really?
Yes 😉
in quiet places
thoughts of the taste of cherries
endlessly repeat
Repeat
On the loop
Its such a sweet pleasure.

That’s a title I could live with 🙂
(A bit off topic and out of curiosity, do my comments still end up in your spam folder?)
Im fighting with wordpress!
