Today I was catching up with my reader after being away for a while, and I came across this post by my dear friend Paul and it triggered me to write about this.
Sad as it is…
Your destructive beauty
conquers every muscle in my body.
This masterpiece of what you are
reminds me of a fragile flower –
the subtle curves
and ever-changing colours…
Just like a swarm of stinging jellyfish,
that hypnotise my soul,
I’m forced
to aimlessly devote my mind
to a fruitless hope.
You’re fatal.
Like a stunning woman.
All evil things are blessed
with being pretty.
– Chatty Owl –
I enjoyed the poem. Beauty can twist-up our view and thoughts.
Very much so, yes.
This is gorgeous. The closing lines are amazing. I wish I had written it…
Thank you. It means a lot coming from you.
truly wonderful – I am humbled to have provided even a hint of inspiration to such a poignant piece
Well, i should be the one thanking you really.
Lovely….
Thanks sis!
All evil things are blessed
with being pretty.

Those words can be applied to many, many things. Glad you’re back C. Owl. I have missed reading out of that mind of yours. xx
Hey lady! Well, you know how life gets sometimes – owls become busy bees!

Destructive beauty …

Excellent write Ms. Owl. Sad true, but beauty in the way you have penned. Thank you. x
Thanks honey. Sad truth indeed..
the best thing about a poem is when one reads it and secretly wishes – I wish I’d thought of that. Nicely done
Aww. Thats a genuine compliment. Thank you, dear.
This is a lovely post – though sad. It is very thought provoking, as well. I see many interpretations.
I intentionally left room for interpretations. Glad it was thought-provoking for you!
A very striking and sad piece, but powerfull non the less.
Im shocked how many lives are touched by this topic..
Welcome back. Sad yes but welcome anyway
*waving*
The most insidious evil is the one disguised as the most beautiful.
Gorgeous poem. Nice to have you back, Owly. 🙂
Thanks Eric. And its good to be back too!
Well, i’ve noticed that to be true – everything pretty in nature is evil somehow.
