I’m sick.
Questioning if it’s love or flu.
I’m shivery and tingly all over,
and I don’t know
if I should be looking for a wedding dress
or
stocking up on paracetamol.

Reblogged this on Musings on a different life and commented:
Just found the most amazing blog full of touching, honest poetry from someone who says the things I want to say, just in so much more beautiful ways. This one in particular stood out to me, but is not the only amazing one I could have picked.
Perfectly expressed.
Thanks so much.. And for the re-blog as well, that’s very kind of you. Big smiles over here! 🙂
That is so clever. Very impressed.
Thanks. Being clever doesn’t happen often!
Well, it was very good
This made me smile, Chatty, and since I’m a romantic, I would hope for the dress! 🙂
Awww i can see that you are. Me, on the other hand…. *winks*
I like this. It’s a bit cheeky. 😉
Thats me! 🙂
It’s manflu 😉 – Cheers J
Hahaha! Thanks for making me smile!
Anytime! So – wheres good in kings cross for breakfast after a night in a dodgy hostel? Any ideas / recomendations?Cheers J
Oh dear…. Well.. Nothing exciting is happening in Kings Cross for breakfast, unless you are into Starbucks 😉 but I’d say Caravan in Exmouth market is worth walking to for breakfast.
Why? You are having a rough morning? 😛
Thanks – am planning ahead! – down for a gig a week on weds – will google the market and see where it is 🙂 – Cheers J
It’s not far, about 10 min walk and it’s really good!
Yup – found it on the map – thanks for helping out – much appreciated 🙂 – Cheers J
Ps – I expanded on a comment I left you on another of your poems – As you set off the process with your words – I’d like to link your blog to it – is that OK – the ramble is not directed at you – its many things in one – if that makes any sense – let me know – cheers J
🙂 ha, absolutely! I have no problems with that… 🙂
Super – thanks 🙂 – Cheers J
based on my experience, the pain medicine is much better than the wedding dress:)
I can see that the majority of people are saying the same… Doesnt that speak louder than any statistics… *sigh*
Get well soon – either flu or love sickness!
Thanks! All sorted now 😉
Jittery! the mads will not helping you…i guess. lol
Hahahaha. I need a doctor.
wedding dress! *hugs*
Not today.
Oh, dear, I did love to see you in a wedding dress, a black one, with short skirt, and some military heavy boots … Getting a wedding in some Texanian church, in the middle of the desert, suffering of hungover … Jej … Not, really. ; P
Maybe not in Texas, but black dress sounds like something I would definitely wear! 😛
That must be worth seeing …
Hmmm. Who knows. Maybe 🙂
Paracetamol never lets one down.
Couldn’t agree more.
That’s quite the quandary, whichever it is at least it has you writing!
Hahahahaha. If that can be considered writing! 😉
Well yes, technically it is writing because you wrote words 😛
I love and adore your technicality!
Of course you do! 🙂
Feed the cold, starve the fever 🙂
Bow that’s an advice worth writing down.
An old wives’ tale that dates back to 1574 from the original “Fasting is a great remedie of feuer.”
Why dont I have that on my shelf?
Bookends can only hold so much.
What a shame.
Maybe you need bigger bookends
Maybe i need a new house with more shelves.
Perhaps, or decide what is shelf-worthy and what isn’t
ah the Big question, I think either one would probably be a bit of a bind for a while, then you get better. I’d go with the flu…it’s safer.
It is, right? Well, today I woke up with no flu in no wedding dresses. I think I’m good again 😉
quite a quandary – why not shop for both?
Because then it feels like weddings give me headaches. Which is true!
that would never do – we likes our precious owls healthy
And precious owl will try to do just that…
Wedding dress, huh? 😉 Oh you tease us. 😆
Hahahahah! No white dresses here 😉
Stock the medicine…please don’t go looking for a wedding dress! 🙂
Ok. Deal!
Safe bet is the cold meds 😉
Or a cheese sandwich, hahahahaha!
with hot sauce?
Of course!
🙂
Thanks!
Get well soon Chatty Owl! This poem did make me smile 🙂
I need an advice. How to run away from all this tesco xmas madness?!
Plane, train or automobile?! I’m going to stay outside and just walk around in wintery London while everyone else is in the shops 🙂 Can’t wait!
Oh, something the same for me – i might be not leaving london!
I remember London post Christmas. Have never seen such maddness before 😉
I know, right??? 😀
no cure for love…
That’s if one is in love that is 😉
no cure for love
prescriptions vain
lest we choose to savor
the bitter pill
of regret
See, thats a smart reply 🙂
Oh my, loved the poem! But I must say, I would be so so hoping for that dress to be worn, not the meds 😛
Haha, its all a bit hypothetical 😉
I figured, and you can take my comment on that! Because anything is better then meds, hypotheticaly and realisticaly! 😀
And aspirin is wiser choise than paracetamol aka acetaminophen :*
Ok 🙂 will take your advice!
Keeping the stock of medicines would be a wise decision 😉
Maybe i should rob a pharmacy.
Lol.. wouldn’t just a couple would do the job? 🙂
Oh no no, i like having a big choice.
and you also have us wondering….come on spill young lady 😉 x
Oh, nothing to spill, dear! 🙂
hmmm – if you say so 🙂 Have a lovely day x
You too darling! X
