It’s not a secret,
I have a thousand flaws.
I line them up upside my head
and observe their stubbornness to never leave me.
(You did though)
Fresh cut grass – one of my favourite smells,
yet it’s funny
that I like something that’s just been cut.
Sliced.
Beheaded.
(I should do the same to all my imperfections)
Everything happens for a reason, they say.
How do they know?
Things happen and stay with you for a reason….mown grass is a pleasure
I used to cut the grass when I lived in Argentina. We had a very big patio, with lot of grass. I hated it. Last night I dreamed about that. And now I read your poetry … it is a coincidence ?
Hugs !!!
I line them up inside my head, too, and often complain about their stubbornness. Great lines, great poem, dear friend..
Naughty flaws 🙂
oh, to have your flaws, any woman would be grateful
Oh, don’t be so sure, Paul.
You only have a Thousand flaws! Last count I think I’m in the Millions 😝Cheers J

Sliced creations.
I line them up inside my head too 😉
I’m assuming many of us do! 🙂
Flawless words and story telling perfection …
Thank you…
You only think you have flaws. To others they are spots of perfection.
Thank you. Sweet of you to say that.
connections chatty…..that’s the same thing I see here as ya saw in one of mine. great piece.
Thanks. And yes!
Imperfection is what makes us human. They can tend to get a little unkempt but that’s why have to cut them back… Either by ourselves or we rely on someone else to do it. But when we do that…we normally end up cutting them out to like a weed because they embody the imperfection they so perfectly had made us forget.
Oh, absolutely, nobody is perfect. Apart from other creations in the world (nature is outstanding!). But that’s the beauty of a determined mind – to get rid of imperfections, if possible.
Not everything hapens for a reason. And even things not so small as for example our Universe emerged for no apparent reason whatsoever.
I hope it’s beheading of mercy. I prefer to think so while mowing a lawn 🙂
And yes, you’re perfect and don’t you dare to think otherwise!
You are sweet as always, even though I dare to disagree. About the perfect part, I mean. But thank you.
Your words are always so wonderfully refreshing!
Thanks so much!
Aw.. I love freshly mown grass too. This beheading imperfections idea is genius, btw. Must explore this further. 🙂
Be my guest 🙂
And… who is they? Whoever they are… I think they are out to get me! 😉
The beheaded line reminded me of Sleepy Hollow, lol. Headless Horseman! Awooooo. 🙂
Beheaded things 🙂 yeah, who are they? And why do they know so much?
Oh well 🙂
